Michigan Partners is a new venture creation firm that shortlists successful businesses around the world and migrates them to the Indian market through Joint Ventures, Technology Transfers or Strategic Alliances. We work with entrepreneurs and leading companies to co-create an enduring Indian platform for commercializing products and services based on promising processes, inventions and patents.
Our expertise lies in the ability to identify and co-promote nascent and growth phase ventures by fostering collaboration between international managements and qualified Indian businesses. We supervise every step of the business investment to ensure that the organizations and companies in our portfolio are fully equipped and strategically positioned to operate successfully in India.
Michigan Partners undertakes the transfer of know-how and capital to India via industrial partnerships between parties qualified by our experts. Our participation ensures planning and execution strategy, financing, infrastructure, staffing and interim management. In the case of BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) projects the control is given back to the client CEO. Michigan Partners works on a retainer and takes a stake in the new venture to ensure our commitment.
Gaurav Sikka (Founder, Michigan Partners) was inspired by the inventions coming out of The University of Michigan (his alma mater) and aspired to participate in the globalization of India by creating a seamless transfer of such cutting edge technologies to his home country. Over time this has evolved into a practice that enables existing businesses in the US and Europe to expand their footprint into India.
