Hailing from a prominent business family, Gaurav has had the entrepreneurial spirit in his blood from a very young age. This led him to establish various clubs and organizations in college—Michigan Partners being one of them. Gaurav was inspired by inventions coming out of American universities and aspired to participate in the globalization of India by creating a seamless transfer of such cutting edge technologies to his home country. Over time Michigan Partners has evolved into a practice that enables existing businesses around the world to expand their footprint into India.
Gaurav has had prior experience working for Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America), Syntel Inc, The Virgin Group and startups in the media and entertainment space. Gaurav has traveled and lived in various cities over the years, which facilitates the development of diverse business partnerships across the globe.
Gaurav has a BA from the University of Michigan where he double majored in Economics and Film. He is passionate about cinema and enjoys golf, squash, yoga and swimming in his free time.
